What motivates you?
– When you’ve been working on a problem for a long time and don’t have any more hair to tear off… and you walk away for a bit, take a coffee and it suddenly strikes you. You get the idea and it actually works. That’s one of the best feelings I know.
Who’s your favourite Nobel prize winner?
– Roger Penrose, who won the physics prize in 2020 for the proof that black holes can exist according to the general theory of relativity.
If you were a superhero, what powers would you have?
– I’d like to have a reset button for my life, just like on the computer. Every time you mess up big time, you could just go back and nobody would ever know. My name: Z-Control.
Thank you Ove! Last question: Can you recommend a TV series?
– The Man in the High Castle, which is based on a book with the same title. It’s about what would have happened if the Germans and the Japanese would have won World War II, and a reminder of how fragile a society can be if you get the wrong person in power.
