USSOCOM Contracts UBIQ Aerospace for Technology Sprint & Demo on Icing and Cold-Weather Solutions


Trondheim, September 20th, 2023 – UBIQ Aerospace, a leading innovator in ice protection technology, is proud to collaborate with USSOCOM to develop advanced ice protection solutions for the warfighter operating in cold-weather environments. The project is a bilateral collaboration with the Norwegian Armed Forces and The Norwegian Defense Research Establishment (FFI) and is being supported and facilitated by Liberty Alliance.


This partnership represents a significant milestone in UBIQ Aerospace’s commitment to revolutionizing the ice protection industry and enhancing the safety and performance of aircraft and other icing-vulnerable systems worldwide.


Icing and cold weather conditions have long been a critical concern for the Armed Forces worldwide, with potentially devastating consequences. By being part of this effort, UBIQ Aerospace seeks to engineer state-of-the-art solutions that surpass existing industry standards. These solutions will encompass advanced de-icing and anti-icing systems, innovative control algorithms, improved sensor technologies, and enhanced weather monitoring systems, among other breakthrough innovations.
